ANRI's Archives External Supervision Team conducts an Archive Examination to the USU Faculty of Economics and Business
USU ARCHIVES: The Mock Test at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Universitas Sumatera Utara was carried out on June 07, 2023, by the External Archival Field Verification Team of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) accompanied by the Head of the Archives Office of the University of Sumatera Utara as the Archival Supervisor at USU. This is a series of archives supervision field verification activities by the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia.

Internal Archives Supervision to Archives Unit II in the USU Environment
USU ARCHIVES: The team from Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives has conducted Archives Internal Supervision in 41 locations consisting of 17 Faculties, 6 Bureaus, 2 Institutions and 16 Work Units in the form of archives audits using supervisory instruments carried out on May 15 - 31, 2023.

Working Visit of the Library and Archives Office of Medan City to the Archives Office
USU ARCHIVES: The USU Archives received a visit from the Medan City Library and Archives Office in the context of cooperation in selecting exemplary archivists within the Medan City Government in 2023, held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Team Leader Sumiadi, SS, Sofyan, SS, Munawir Siregar, A.Md, S.Kom and Rinita, SE, attended the visit.

Office Tour of the Archives with Firefighters
USU ARCHIVES: Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Archives welcomed the visit of Gema Halelu Isa Meliala, ST, MT, as the Head of Rescue Division of Medan City Fire Department on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Building. This visit was in the context of an office tour and discussion regarding the feasibility of security and archive rescue at Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives.

Disaster Plan Simulation on the USU Archives Page
USU ARCHIVES: After the Disaster Plan Socialization event at Universitas Sumatera Utara entitled "Ready to Face Disasters and Fires to Save University Vital Archives" in the Academic Senate Room Lt.3 BPA USU on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. On that day, a Disaster Plan Simulation was also carried out in the yard of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office. The simulation of APAR (Light Fire Extinguisher) was delivered directly by Gema Halelu Isa Meliala, ST, MT, as the Head of the Rescue Division of Medan City Fire Department.

Socialization of Disaster Plan in the Environment of the Universitas Sumatera Utara
USU ARCHIVES: Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Archives has successfully held a Disaster Plan Socialization event at Universitas Sumatera Utara entitled "Ready to Face Disasters and Fires to Save University Vital Archives" by inviting speakers from the Medan City Fire Department. The event took place in the Academic Senate Room Lt.3 BPA USU on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, and was attended by 120 participants consisting of Heads of Administration and Archives Managers at Universitas Sumatera Utara.

USU Becomes a Node Member of the National Archival Information Network (JIKN)
Hollaaa... #SahabatArsip! Universitas Sumatera Utara has received a Certificate of Member of the National Archival Information Network Node (JIKN), integrated with the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia. This network node is implemented by the mandate of Law Number 43 of 2009 concerning Archives, Government Regulation Number 28 of 2012 and Regulation of the Head of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2011.

Three Records Managers from Universitas Sumatera Utara attended the Technical Training on Dynamic Records Management Batch I Year 2023
USU ARCHIVES: On February 13-16, 2023, three archive managers from Universitas Sumatera Utara namely Rizki Mitra Hamdani, S.I.Kom (University Archives Office), Andika Iskandar Makdunia, S.T., M.T (Faculty of Cultural Sciences) and Dibya Wicitra, S.Kom (Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology) attended the Technical Training on Dynamic Archive Management Batch I Year 2023 organized by the Center for Education and Training (Pusdiklat) Archives of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia.

USU Archives participates in BIMTEK Dynamic Archive Management in the SPBE Era
USU ARCHIVES: Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives has participated in the Technical Guidance (BIMTEK) on Dynamic Archive Management in the Era of Electronic-Based Government Systems (SPBE) organized by the National Board of the Indonesian Archivists Association (PN-AAI) in collaboration with the Archival Education and Training Foundation (YPPK) which was held for three days on 13 to December 15 2022 virtually with the distance learning method (distance learning system) through the zoom meeting application at the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives.
