This visit was in the context of Field Verification of External Supervision in the USU Environment in implementing archives in each archive creator against archival laws and regulations to realize the strategic goals of national archival development, namely Orderly Archives, Digital Transformation and Collective Memory of the Nation. The visit was attended by Dra. Krihanta, M.Si as Principal Archivist, Yuanita Utami, S.I.p as Junior Archivist and Pulung Prasetiyo as First Archivist of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia.
The visit was welcomed by the Head of the Archives Office Mrs. Aisyah, SE, M.Si and opened directly by the Secretary of the University Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked (OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp.F.E.R, in his speech, he hoped, "With this archival supervision, it can create an orderly archive in the context of transparency and accountability of government administration and saving archives as a collective memory of the nation within Universitas Sumatera Utara. Thus, we also accelerate the realization of dynamic archives and save static archives at Universitas Sumatera Utara, and we even support ANRI in saving national archives."
In implementing this archival supervision, clarification and verification of additional documents are carried out, which include the KL ASKE Form supervision instrument, and each institution conducts a self-assessment using the KL ASKE Form to be submitted to the Archives Accreditation Center accompanied by supporting evidence/portfolio. The portfolio is prepared about 4 (four) aspects of assessment as follows:
Results and products of archival policies;
Evidence of archives development activities;
Results and evidence of dynamic archive management performance, which includes archive creation, archive use, archive maintenance and archive depreciation; and
Evidence of the availability and performance of archives resources includes human resources, archives organizations, archives infrastructure and facilities, and archives funding.
