Archive Managers in the USU Environment Participate in Archival Basics Training organized by the Ministry of Education and Training Center

USU ARCHIVES: The Center for Education and Training of Employees of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology held Technical Training on the Basics of Archives Batch I and II, using the classical mode (face-to-face offline). This activity lasted seven days, namely June 18-24, 2023.

This training was attended by one archivist and one archive manager from the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office namely Cut Ruvina Hakim, S.Sos., M.Pd and Wenny Chalira, SH with Technical Training on Archival Basics Batch I and also attended by Archives Unit II in the USU Environment from the Faculty of Psychology Pepi Ernawati, A.Md and the Language Center Dwi Kurnia Surya Ningrum, S. S. with Technical Training on Archival Basics Batch II which was held at the Education Quality Assurance Center (BPMP) of North Sumatra Province. The training was attended by 60 participants from State Universities, Higher Education Service Institutions and Quality Assurance Centers throughout Sumatra Province.

The Head of the Ministry of Education and Culture's Employee Training Center, Dr. Ir. Mustangimah, M.Si, gave directions and officially opened the training.

The purpose of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office to participate in the Technical Training on the Basics of Archives by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology's Employee Training Center is to participate in the Technical Training on the Basics of Archives organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. In addition, the purpose of participation in the Archives Basics Technical Training is to understand the conception of dynamic and static archive management, understand active and inactive archive management, understand static archive management, implement good practices in archive management, understand the capita selecta of JF Archivists and implement ASN Core Value values.

Technical Training on the Basics of Archives can be useful for archivists and archives managers within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology so that they can understand, understand and carry out archival management properly and correctly in work units and can directly benefit organizational interests, as well as the interests of the country at large in terms of saving and preserving historical archives in the fields of education and culture and achieving archival governance, efficiency and availability of archive information.
