Destruction of Archives at the Dental and Oral Hospital, Universitas Sumatera Utara

This archive destruction activity is an implementation of Rector Regulation No. 23 of 2021 on Archival Management Guidelines and ANRI Regulation No. 25/2012 on Archive Destruction Guidelines. The purpose of this destruction is to reduce the number of archives that have exceeded their retention period and no longer hold any value.

Working Visit from Pematangsiantar Regional Inspectorate to Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office

USU ARCHIVES: The working visit was carried out by archivists and archive managers from the Pematangsiantar Regional Inspectorate. The activity lasted 1 day, namely on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, and was held offline at the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office. Seven participants attended the visit. The visit activity began at 09.10 AM and was opened directly by the Head of the USU Archives Office, Aisyah, SE, M.Si. The series of visit activities included Opening and delivering the Overview, Sharing sessions, filling out questionnaires, offering an Office tour of the USU Archives and closing with a group photo.

Technical Working Meeting on the Strategy for Providing Access and Archive Information Services Year 2024

The Acting Head of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia, Drs. Imam Gunarto, M.Hum in his speech said, “The more you fill in JIKN, the more complete the archives will be presented to be accessed by the public.” explained Imam Gunarto in his speech when opening the Technical Working Meeting on the Strategy for Providing Access and Archive Information Services.

USU Archives: Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives attended the International Conference on Archives, Social Science, Humanities and Education (The 4th ICoASHE) with the theme “Sustainable Archiving, Education and Cultural Preservation on Global Approach” organized by Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and the Association of Higher Education Archives (PAPTI), which is a commitment to advancing science and research in the fields of archives, social science, humanities, and education.

USU Archives participates in Workshop on Competency Improvement of Educational Staff

USU ARCHIVES: Sofy Ayu Fadillah, S.Sos (External and Internal Services Section), the archive manager from the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office, attended the Educational Staff Competency Improvement Workshop organized by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology from 15 to 18 October 2024 at the Vertu Harmoni Hotel, Central Jakarta.

USU Archives participated in the Technical Training on Archive Depreciation Batch II Year 2024, organized by the Human Resources Training Center of National Archives

USU ARCHIVES: One of the employees of the Archives Office of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Cut Ruvina Hakim, S.Sos., M.Pd Junior Expert Archivist, participated in the Technical Training on Archive Shrinkage Batch II organized by the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia using the distance learning method from September 30 to October 4, 2024.

USU Archives participated in the Technical Training of Archives Facilitators Batch 3 by the National Archives Training Center of the Republic of Indonesia

USU ARCHIVES: One of the archive managers from the Archives Office of the Universitas Sumatera Utara attended the Technical Training for Archives Facilitators Batch 3 organized by the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia using the distance learning method from 26 to August 30 2024. The archive manager is Raisa Dwi Safitri, S.S.I (Archives Acquisition and Filing Section).
