USU Archives Office Holds Archival Appraisal Committee Meeting for Records Disposition

USU ARCHIVES: On Thursday, December 12, 2024, the USU Awards 2024: University Achievement Award was held at the USU Auditorium Building on the 72nd Anniversary of Universitas Sumatera Utara. This annual event is a momentum of appreciation for lecturers, students, and educational staff who have made their best contributions throughout 2024. It also includes reading about the winners of the Archives Unit II and Best Archive Manager 2024 awards.

USU Award 2024 carries the theme "Inspiring with a Together Achievements," which is expected to spur the enthusiasm of the academic community to innovate and work. USU Rector Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., in his speech, expressed his appreciation to the entire academic community for contributing to improving the university's reputation at the national and international levels.
Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin also expressed his hope that this award could encourage the entire academic community to continue to innovate. He emphasized that the spirit of togetherness and collaboration is an important key to making USU a university recognized at the global level.

A few months ago, on 1-31 June 2024, the USU Archives Office conducted field verification on 52 work units and 166 study programs within USU to assess and select who among them became the best Archives Unit II and the most active Archives Manager in 2024.

This assessment coincided with the internal archival supervision in 2024, which was carried out as an archival audit using supervisory instruments provided by the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI). The assessment indicators are:
