MEDAN, JULY 30, 2026 – The accreditation series for the Higher Education Archives Institution (Lembaga Kearsipan Perguruan Tinggi – LKPT) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) entered its third day and concluded with an Exit Meeting. The third day of activities was opened by USU Rector, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., via Zoom Meeting.

In his remarks, the USU Rector expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the archives accreditation series and for the support of all parties who contributed to the process. The online opening was part of the commitment of the Universitas Sumatera Utara leadership to strengthening archives governance across the university.

The activities continued with the Exit Meeting as the final stage of the field verification process for the LKPT Archives Accreditation at Universitas Sumatera Utara. The meeting served as a forum for the Assessment Team to present its evaluation results, recommendations, and appreciation regarding archives management at Universitas Sumatera Utara.

The notes and recommendations presented by the Assessment Team will serve as material for USU’s evaluation as it continues to improve and develop its archives management practices. These efforts are expected to promote more orderly and effective archives governance in accordance with established archival standards.

The Exit Meeting is an important part of the accreditation process, serving as a means of reflection and evaluation of the archives management practices that have been implemented.
