USU Archives participated in the Technical Training on Archive Depreciation Batch II Year 2024, organized by the Human Resources Training Center of National Archives

USU ARCHIVES: One of the employees of the Archives Office of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Cut Ruvina Hakim, S.Sos., M.Pd Junior Expert Archivist, participated in the Technical Training on Archive Shrinkage Batch II organized by the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia using the distance learning method from September 30 to October 4, 2024.

The Head of the Bureau of Law, Cooperation and Public Relations, DR. M. Sumitro, SH, MAP, opened the training. Fifty participants from Ministries / Institutions, Local Governments, and SOEs attended the archive shrinkage training, including 28 Archivists and 22 Non-Archivists.

This training aims to provide participants with knowledge and skills for conducting archive shrinkage in the work environment to avoid archive accumulation. The scope of archive shrinkage material includes transferring archives from the creator unit to the archive unit, destroying archives with no use value, and submitting archives to the Archives Office.

The competency output of this activity is the certificate received by the participants, which demonstrates that the participants are able to carry out archive shrinkage activities in accordance with applicable archival principles and principles.

Cut Ruvina Hakim, S.Sos., M.Pd, became the most active and disciplined participant in the Technical Training for Archives Shrinkage Batch II.
