In order to oversee the compliance of archival administration in each archive creator with archival laws and regulations so as to realize the strategic goals of national archival development through higher education, namely Orderly Archives, Digital Transformation and Collective Memory of the Nation, the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office carries out archival guidance and supervision.
The target and focus of archival guidance and supervision is to ensure the implementation of archival policies with indicators of successful achievement being the availability of active archives in processing units, inactive archives in archiving units and static archives in archival institutions. Therefore, through this letter, archival guidance and supervision in 2024 is carried out in the form of archival audits using supervisory instruments and will be carried out to all study programs in the Universitas Sumatera Utara environment by the supervisory team of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office. This guidance and supervision will also be a benchmark in assessing the best Archives Unit and archive manager in 2024.
Several Work Units have completed Archival Supervision and Guidance, namely: Board of Trustees, Board of Professors, Academic Senate, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
