The participants who attended were 70 people from universities, institutions and agencies from all over Indonesia who were accompanied by Mr Sulthan Kasman, SE, M.Si, the Head of the Work Team for Housekeeping and Archives from the Ministry of Education and Training Center. In his remarks, the Secretary of the University, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked (OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp. F.E.R, expressed his gratitude and welcome to the participants of the Technical Training on the Basics of Archives Batch 17 and 18, who occupy the Functional Position of Archivist and Archives Manager within the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, the Secretary of the University also expressed his appreciation for the visit of participants for field visitation, as a form of enrichment and strengthening of material for trainees.
Mr. Sulthan Kasman, SE, M. Si, as the Head of the Work Team for Housekeeping and Archives from the Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Research and Technology, expressed his deep gratitude to the Universitas Sumatera Utara for being willing to facilitate the visitation/visit of the Ministry of Research and Technology to the University of Sumatera Utara Archives and this is the third visit and will continue to the next year for visitation to the University Archives Office, the purpose of the visitation of Technical Training on the Basics of Archives Batch 17 and 18 for Employees who occupy Functional Positions of Archivists and Records Managers within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology to the Archives Office is as a form of enrichment and strengthening of the material that the trainees have followed.
The Head of the Archives Office Mrs. Aisyah, SE, M.Si said that she was pleased and appreciated the visit of the Technical Training Participants of the Basics of Archives Batch 17 and 18 for Employees who occupy Functional Positions of Archivists and Archives Managers within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology to the USU Archives Office and thanked them for choosing the Universitas Sumatera Archives Office as the object of a working visit to develop insight and archives information for Archivists.
The Archives Office of the Universitas Sumatera Utara highly appreciates the steps taken by the visiting participants because choosing the Archives Office to increase knowledge, experience, and learning is very good considering the dynamics and changes to the profession, as well as developments in information science in general and archives in particular, are growing. After the opening, we continued with an office tour of the USU Archives and closed with a group photo.
