USU Archive Office Wins 3 Competitions in Celebrating USU's 69th Anniversary

Welcoming the 69th Anniversary, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) organized a series of events to enliven it. On August 20, 2021, USU entered its 69th year since its establishment in 1952. The 69th Anniversary of the Universitas Sumatera Utara was held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, with the theme "Working together to protect our health against COVID-19 threats" USU prioritizes the role of the campus in overcoming COVID-19 in Indonesia and North Sumatra in particular. The theme was taken to show USU's commitment to helping the government break the chain and provide education to the public.

USU's 69th Anniversary presented a series of competitions. The competition that was held adjusted to current digital developments. The competition is Education's Camera Competition in the Era of New Normal (EDUCAM), aimed at students making unique and out-of-the-box creative videos about tips for online learning activities. Furthermore, the Short Video Competition USU (SHOVION-USU) takes USU lecturers and educators as participants. This competition takes the theme Maximum Service in the Era of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Apart from being specifically for the academic community, the competition that was held also opened opportunities for the wider community to contribute. The USU -TikTok Challenge competition with the theme Your contribution as part of the community to fight Corona is open to the entire community. The Educational Poster Competition is the next competition held to educate the public. This poster competition takes the theme Innovation to Fight Against Corona. USU also allowed USU academics to participate in creating the USU 69th Anniversary logo design. The ten best logos will be posted on the USU official Instagram account. Apart from the competitions that have been determined, USU is exploring other competitions, such as the Vocal Group Competition (Smule) and the Writing Article Competition related to Covid-19.

The Archives Office participated in the Tiktok Challenge Competition with the theme "Your contribution as part of the community to fight Corona" with the Tiktok Individual Challenge Category as 2nd place from Mrs. Aisyah, SE, M.Si, Head of the USU Archives Office and the Tiktok Group Challenge Category as 3rd place from the USU Archives Office.

Furthermore, the USU Archives Office won the Favorite Champion in the "Short Video Competition in The Era of New Normal (SHOVION-USU)" Category. 

The USU 69th Anniversary celebration was held online and offline as a form of implementing health protocols. USU implements strict health protocols in offline activities by requiring masks, maintaining distance, and minimizing crowds.
