This webinar was held via Zoom (online) and was attended by more than 350 participants from various Provincial, Regional, and Higher Education Institutions and archivists throughout Indonesia. The webinar was opened directly by the Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Mr. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si and remarks from the Head of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office, Mrs. Aisyah, SE, M.Si.

The Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Mr. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, said that the arrangement of the archive field must have standard and clear standards to be able to make it a guideline for the implementation of archives in various faculties and work units. The executor or person in charge of archiving activities must truly master every technical stage of carrying out digital service operations. It must also be better prepared to produce human resources who understand technology and can carry out their duties quickly and precisely. Regulations on the use of integrated information and technology systems through the use of the National Archives Information System (SIKN) must be developed at the Universitas Sumatera Utara to adopt all the needs of archived information services and adapt to the needs in the university environment.

The speakers at the event were Mr. Eksanto, S.Si (JIKN Substance Development and System Coordinator) and Mr. Rizal Aditya Herdianto, S.Kom (JIKN National Helpdesk Subordinator).
This webinar aims to develop (publish) regulations for the use of integrated information systems and technology through the use of the National Archives Information System (SIKN) and the National Archives Information Network (JIKN) and also to target increasingly paperless services and reduce face to face services. The results from this webinar are used to produce applications in the form of the National Archives Information System and the National Archives Information Network, which the USU Archives Office will implement.

The Coordinator of Development Substance and JIKN System, Mr. Eksanto, hopes that this webinar will become a forum for archival guidance that focuses on SIKN and JIKN in preparing resources and archival management policies so that through this webinar, all parties can step towards one goal, namely the implementation of archives which are ultimately by the national ideals of the Republic of Indonesia.
