The Directorate of Governance, Legal Affairs, and Archives (DitTHK), through the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Archives, once again held the SEKAR (Monday Coordination and Briefing Meeting) as part of its routine agenda to strengthen internal coordination and improve the quality of archival management throughout Universitas Sumatera Utara. The meeting was held on Monday, July 6, 2026, and was chaired by the USU Archives Manager, Dr. Aisyah, S.E., M.Si.

SEKAR serves as a coordination forum that brings together the entire DitTHK team to evaluate the implementation of work programs, discuss governance, legal, and archival issues, and formulate follow-up actions to improve service effectiveness. Through this regular meeting, each team member is given the opportunity to report on work progress, discuss challenges encountered, and propose solutions to support the achievement of the Directorate's organizational performance targets.

In her remarks, Dr. Aisyah emphasized the importance of fostering a collaborative, disciplined, and service-oriented work culture. She also encouraged all team members to strengthen their commitment to implementing professional, orderly, accountable, and sustainable archival governance in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations.

In addition to serving as a coordination platform, SEKAR also functions as a mechanism for aligning work programs across different divisions, ensuring that all activities are integrated and contribute to the strategic objectives of the Directorate of Governance, Legal Affairs, and Archives. Open communication and strong collaboration among staff members are considered key factors in delivering archival services that are responsive to the needs of the USU academic community.

Through the continuous implementation of SEKAR, the Directorate expects to build stronger coordination, improve team performance, and foster innovation in archival management. This collective commitment reflects the ongoing efforts of the Directorate of Governance, Legal Affairs, and Archives, through the USU Archives, to provide high-quality archival services while supporting effective, transparent, and accountable university governance.
