Assistance in Preparing the Accreditation Form for the USU Archives Office with ANRI

USU ARCHIVES: The Archives Office of Universitas Sumatera Utara has carried out the Compilation of Accreditation Forms for the USU Archives Office with the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia, which was held online on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. This activity was held through Zoon (online) and was attended by archive management employees of Universitas Sumatera Archives. The speakers in this activity were Nia Pertiwi, ANRI Junior Expert Archivist, and Rizky Eka Saputra, SS as the first Expert Archivist. The activity was opened directly by the Secretary of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked (OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp.F.E.R.

In his remarks, "The USU Archives Office as a Higher Education Archives Institution is very important to carry out archives accreditation as proof of quality feasibility in organizing archives so that it can be seen to what extent quality assurance and feasibility in archives, especially in supporting the vision and mission of Universitas Sumatera Utara. On behalf of the rector and my leadership, the Secretary of the University highly appreciates the pre-accreditation activities as part of the USU archive office accreditation by the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia. Through this activity, the filling of this accreditation instrument, especially the aspects of organizing archives and aspects of Archival Resources, is expected to be an initial step towards achieving USU archives that are accountable and professional in their services.

Head of the USU Archives Office Aisyah, SE, M Si, in her speech, said that this activity is a form of our seriousness in wanting to fix the archive office and want to get accreditation from ANRI in our efforts to improve the quality and feasibility of archive management at higher education institutions, which in this case is the USU Archives Office, it is necessary to assess the suitability of organizing archives in the applicable laws and regulations so that the USU Archives Office can realize the implementation of archives to be better and more professional. Hopefully, we will follow the Superior A accreditation like the University of Education Indonesia.

This activity aims to carry out the archival accreditation mechanism by assisting in filling out the accreditation form instrument and fulfilling the portfolio independently as mandated in the Regulation of the Head of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia Number 28 of 2015 concerning Guidelines for Archival Accreditation.
