The activity was opened, and the opening remarks were delivered by the Secretary of the University, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar M.Ked (OG), Sp. O.G, Subsp. FER then continued delivering a report on the development of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office from the event organizer, namely the Head of Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office, Aisyah, SE, M.Si.
The Archives Workshop at Universitas Sumatera Utara was attended by 120 participants, including the Head of Administration / Chief Administrative Officer and Archives Managers at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The welcoming speech by the Secretary of the University, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar M.Ked (OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp. FER, in his speech, stated that we are all aware that the role of archives is very important in supporting the smooth and efficient work of units at Universitas Sumatera Utara, and he also stated that well-organized archives not only facilitate access to information but also become the foundation for making strategic decisions.
The Head of the Archives Office of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Aisyah, SE, M.Si., delivered a report on the development of the Archives Office of Universitas Sumatera Utara this year. The Archives Office has achieved many improvements, and many work programs have been implemented. The progress achieved was under the external supervision of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia, Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives, and received a perfect score (BB).
This activity followed a games session and discussion session on archives developments in each work unit. This Archive Workshop activity was carried out to improve coordination and cooperation between archive managers in the USU, which aims to brainstorm archival management through an open-ended approach (openness and problem-solving) for archive managers in the USU area.
