Archives Office Attends Technical Training on Archival Basics Batch II by the Ministry of Education and Culture's Employee Training Center

USU ARCHIVES: The Center for Education and Training of Employees of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology held Technical Training on Archival Basics Batch 2, Technical Training on Static Archive Management Batch 2 and Technical Training on Bureaucratic Reform Development Assessment / Integrity Zone Batch 4 using the classical (face-to-face) mode.

This activity lasted seven days, from November 27 to December 3, 2022. This training was attended by two archive managers from the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office, namely Fista Chairani Zein Hutagalung, A.Md and Luknah Uyuni, S.Sos with Technical Training on Archival Basics Batch II, which was held at UNS Inn Solo Hotel, Surakarta, Central Java. The training was attended by 89 participants from State Universities throughout Indonesia.

Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives aims to participate in the Technical Training on Archival Basics organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology's Employee Training Center. In addition, the purpose of participating in the Archival Basics Technical Training is to improve competencies related to understanding the concept of dynamic and static archive management, Knowing the history of archives, Understanding active archive management, Understanding Inactive Archive Management, Understanding static archive management; and Understanding archives as the nation's collective memory.

Technical Training on the Basics of Archives can be useful for archivists and archive managers within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology so that they can understand, understand and carry out archival management properly and correctly in the work unit and can directly benefit the interests of the organization, as well as the interests of the country at large in terms of saving and preserving archives of historical value in the fields of education and culture and achieving archival governance, efficiency and availability of archival information.
