Archives Mentorship for 19 Study Programs within the USU Faculty of Cultural Sciences

This activity was carried out to follow up on the National Movement for Orderly Awareness of Archives and assist archive management with all staff related to archives or administration to realize better archive governance and collect University archive memory.

USU ARCHIVES: The Archives Office of Universitas Sumatera Utara has carried out Archival Mentorship to 19 Study Programs at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences of Universitas Sumatera Utara on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, in the hall building of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences. This activity was carried out to follow up on the National Movement for Orderly Awareness of Archives and assist archive management with all staff related to archives or administration to realize better archive governance and collect University archive memory.

This activity was welcomed by the Dean and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences and attended by 35 participants from all Deans, Administrative Heads and Heads of Subdivisions and all Tendik in the USU Faculty of Cultural Sciences.

The activity began with remarks by Mrs. Dra. Heristina Dewi, M.Pd. Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences USU  expressed his gratitude to the Head of the USU Archives Office and the Team for attending the archival mentorship and, at the same time, assisting all education personnel of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences USU. The faculty leader hopes that the archives at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences USU will be much better organized than before because of the rules and regulations of the archives. We hope the USU Archives Office will accept and help if we need archives-related assistance.

Furthermore, the delivery of a glimpse of the University Archives Office by Mrs Aisyah, SE., M.Si. as Head of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Archives Office, explained the importance of archives and showed a glimpse of the USU Archives Office.

Raisa Dwi Safitri, S.Si, the Archive Office Team, provided hands-on practice to all USU Faculty of Cultural Sciences tenders to store dynamic and static archives according to the company operational standard and destroy expired archives.

Furthermore, the Archive Office team directly reviewed the condition of archives in several Study Programs and Archive Rooms of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
