Service Comparative Studies, Research/Research and Internships

Background

As a form of community service, the USU Archives Office invites students, students, communities, and agencies outside USU to participate in knowledge-sharing and archival development activities together through Comparative Studies, Research / Research, and Internships. The aim is to add insight and knowledge that will be applied in the future to manage archives better.

Comparative Study

Comparative Studies are carried out through visits and special training in archives, using material that has been prepared specifically and systematically. They are organized in collaboration with other institutions outside USU.

Research/Research

The USU Archives provides data sources and information about higher education institutions for researchers interested in research projects.

Internship or Field Work Practice

Internship is a process of directly applying the knowledge or competencies gained during the education period in the world of work, so the USU Archives Office provides opportunities for students and college students to do internships at the USU Archives Office. Internships can be followed by individuals or groups who want to learn archival science material in more depth. The USU Academic Community and Education Personnel, Agencies and the General Public can attend internships.

 

Service Requirements

  1. Visitors must submit a letter requesting a comparative study, research or research visit.
  2. Visitors must dress neatly and politely according to the rules that apply at the USU Archives Office.
  3. Visitors are required to fill out the guest book of the USU Archives Office.

Mechanism and Procedure

  1. Prospective visitors send a visit request letter to the USU Archives via email or delivered directly;
  2. The Archives Office verifies the completeness of the data of prospective visitors for comparative studies, research or research;
  3. Then, the Head of the Archives Office approves comparative study, research or research visits;
  4. The Archives Office sets the schedule for the visit to the prospective visitor;
  5. The Archive Office sends a response letter along with the visit schedule that has been determined;
  6. On the day of the comparative study, research or research, prospective visitors are required to fill out a guest book, dress neatly and politely, and maintain cleanliness, order and comfort during the visit;
  7. The Archive Office provides a presentation for Comparative Study activities and information delivery for Research or Research activities;
  8. After the visit ends, each participant is required to fill out a user satisfaction survey questionnaire that has been provided;
  9. The visit was closed with a group photo;
  10. Activity completed.
